December 3rd concert @ 3pm featuring Voci and the Jubilate Baroque Orchestra!

THIS SUNDAY DECEMBER 3rd @ 3pm, our last free NFN concert for 2017 will take place in the gorgeous ambiance and glorious acoustics in Basilica of St Joseph, 1109 Chestnut St, Alameda (Ca).
Free concert, open to all - DONATIONS COLLECTED will benefit the ALAMEDA FOOD BANK

This concert, the 21st program of Notes for Nourishment concerts in Alameda, will feature the 28 singers of Voci Women's Vocal Ensemble, together with the 8-member Jubilate Baroque Orchestra (period instruments, including harpsichord), and soprano soloist MacKenzie Covington, all conducted by Mitchell Covington, the Artistic Director of Voci.

The December 3rd concert will last approximately 75 minutes, with no intermission, so will begin promptly at 3pm and finish at approximately 4:15pm. Voci has chosen a program of sacred Renaissance and Baroque masterpieces for the choral repertoire, composed by Bach, Porpora, Hasse, Charpentier, Cozzolani, Vivaldi and Victoria.

Those attending the program are also welcome to bring canned goods and other non-perishable food items to donate to the Alameda Food Bank and the families that it serves. A collection bin will be provided near the entrance of the performance venue.
While the AFB would be delighted to receive your canned good donations, we still request on their behalf that a financial (monetary) donation is given as the primary offering from each audience member or family attending. Both cash and checks will be accepted, and checks should be made payable to Listen for Life (our 501c3 organization that is responsible for collecting and tallying all donations before presenting the total amount as one check to the beneficiary organization(s) of each months' NFN concert).

If you have any questions about this concert, or the location (which has plenty of free parking available), please call our Listen for Life offices at 510 540 8136
