Sunday Dec 1st @ 5pm - award-winning young guitarist Eric Wang, FREE in SF! He is requesting your donations for MusicInSchoolsToday.org and HCNKids.org (Homeless Children's Network), two organizations that do tremendous work to nourish children his own age who have no access to music lessons or warm homes this winter. Come enjoy his 1-hr, family-friendly program in the historic chapel of Mission Dolores (3321 16th st, San Francisco, near BART) - free parking available directly behind Mission Dolores basilica.

Eric Junyang Wang, 15, is a tenth grader at Valley Christian High School in his hometown of San Jose, California. Since 2009 he has been studying with Robert Miller at the California Conservatory of Music in Silicon Valley.

Eric is the first prize winner in the Junior Division of the 2018 Guitar Foundation of America International Youth Competition (IYC) and the 2019 Parkening International Guitar Competition Youth Division. He has won top prizes in several other international, national and regional competitions for his age group, and also as a performer in his award-winning guitar ensemble. Recently, he was named a 2020 National YoungArts finalist. He has also been chosen as a performer in master classes (held at music conservatories nationwide) given by a variety of renowned classical guitarists.

Eric has greatly enjoyed being a featured guitarist on NPR’s From the Top radio program, so you can find his performances in their archived programs online, as well as on YouTube and other platforms.

So -  if you are anywhere near San Francisco on Sunday afternoon December 1st, DO NOT MISS THIS opportunity to hear an extremely gifted young musician who has won numerous competitions and awards yet wants to donate his time and talents for the service of others.

Listen for Life artists and volunteers work very hard to produce these Notes for Nourishment concerts in cities worldwide in order to offer renowned musicians (all ages, all cultures, all locations worldwide) the opportunity to perform free one-hour programs that nourish their audiences, while collecting free-will donations for a cause or nonprofit of their choice that nourishes the homeless, hungry or hurting of their communities.
Eric has decided he wants to request your donations to benefit TWO non-profit organizations, so Listen for Life will be there collecting your generous contributions, as mentioned earlier, for MusicInSchoolsToday.org, which offers music programs for disadvantaged young children throughout the greater SF Bay Area, and for HCNKids.org (Homeless Children's Network), a recent beneficiary choice with our younger NFN performers because they love the idea of helping kids their own age who just happen to be homeless.
Come be enchanted by Eric's musical and imaginative music, and come match his generosity with your participation and donations. See you Sunday!
